Summer Internship at SETTY


Logan Mauer (SETTY-FX Summer Intern) building a functioning model air handling unit, which will be controlled by a Tridium Niagara Jace as part of his summer internship with SETTY.  

The entire controls interface will be integrated with a web based BIM model, creating a dynamic user interface. 

The goal: to develop a proof of concept for a standard Building Automation System.

R.I.S.E. Demonstration Center received Special Citation from AIA|DC


Cunningham Quill’s R.I.S.E. Demonstration Center, located on the St Elizabeth’s East campus, is a flexible Class A meeting and demonstration space creating a gateway for communities and residents of Washington D.C. to engage with health and technology industries. The innovation hub received a Special Citation from the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA|DC) as part of the 2015 Design Awards. 


Setty was a proud partner of the design build team. Selected from 185 submissions, this notable project demonstrates the impact and value of quality design, and the potential of high-performance facility design.

National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) conference in DC


As part of next week’s National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) conference in DC SETTY’s President & Principal Raj Setty, PE, CxA, LEED AP will be participating in the Plenary Symposium, which will cover two of the key outcomes expected from Building Innovation 2016: an examination of what it takes to achieve a resilient future and a vision on how all the information presented throughout the week comes together to achieve high-performance buildings and communities.

About Dunbar High School: Founded in 1870 as the Preparatory High School for Colored Youth, Dunbar High School, located in Washington, D.C., was the country’s first public high school for African Americans. A new award-winning campus opened in 2013 to replace a 1970’s building that didn’t meet the prestige of its influential alumni. Representatives from numerous disciplines on the project will present lessons learned during the design, construction and operations of this LEED Platinum project.
